Previous Framework
‘How Good is the Learning and Development in Our Community’, or ‘HGILDIOC’, is designed to support evaluation of the quality of services delivered through Community Learning and Development (CLD) type approaches, in Scotland.
HGILDIOC outlines an approach to self-evaluation which can be used by managers or practitioners working directly with young people, adults and community groups. It provides a set of quality indicators and performance measures which assist in the identification of strengths in CLD practice and where further development is required. This same set of indicators and performance measures is used by HM Inspectors when undertaking external evaluation of services.
The framework is flexible, so that it can be adapted to suit the context of local situations. It can also be used for self-evaluations outwith CLD core activities and services.
