Self-evaluation is a process of review and action applied to a chosen area of activity. It aims to establish the strengths of the activity, and to identify any actions that will bring about improvement.
Steps
The following steps are designed to assist you in setting up and carrying out a self-evaluation exercise. It is not prescriptive, but should aid you in putting in place a robust process, capable of measuring impact and highlighting areas for improvement.

HGILDIOC Framework
'How Good is the Learning and Development in Our Community', or 'HGILDIOC', is designed to support evaluation of the quality of services delivered through Community Learning and Development (CLD) type approaches, in Scotland.

Step 6: Review all evidence and draw out the common themes

Make preparations for finalising the self-evaluation process by:

Gathering all the evidence you now have available, old and new.
Deciding who should be involved in the final review process: this could be a single practitioner, or a group – perhaps the key stakeholders or participants with a legitimate interest in your chosen indicators – and then decide which of those stakeholders would best help you decide how good the provision is. For some indicators, it may be appropriate to have practitioners only; but for others you may want to involve service users, partners, tutors, or volunteers.
Decide the method of the final review process: decide how best to review and pick out common themes in the evidence that you have gathered that help you to answer your self-evaluation questions. Methods could include analysis of evaluation evidence, by a single person through to informal group discussions or focus groups.
Organise and implement the final review and draw out the common themes that answer your original self-evaluation questions.
